John Gitau

I am a bioinformatics scientist and aspiring infectious disease modeler currently pursuing a Ph.D in Malaria modeling under African Institute for Mathematical sciences. My interest is developing mathematical models to elucidate the dynamics of infectious diseases. With four years of experience, I have actively contributed to the development of bioinformatics pipelines within the breast cancer genomics group, with a collaboration with vanderbilt university. My work involved unraveling gene expression profiles in breast cancer, and I have engaged in teaching and the authorship of scientific articles.
