This eight week short course is aimed at enhancing and empowering access to world-class data analysis skills and open access tools to less reached groups. In this introductory GIS course, you will explore the fundamental concepts and technologies behind Geographic Information Systems. GIS is a powerful tool used for mapping, analyzing, and visualizing spatial data to understand relationships, patterns, and trends across various disciplines such as environmental science, urban planning, public health, and more.
Course Objectives:
- Understand GIS Foundations: Learn the principles of GIS, including spatial data types, coordinate systems, and mapping concepts.
