Evaristo Malenje

Dr. Evaristo M. Malenje is a veterinarian with 10 years of experience working in livestock research and development projects for rural Africa. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in VeterinaryMedicine and a Master’s degree in Animal Genetics and Breeding from the University of Nairobi. He is a one-time awardee of a graduate fellowship scholarship by the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) and holds an accreditation from the Livestock Emergency Guidelines and Standards (LEGS) Secretariat-UK as a Trainer of Trainers. He has led livestock research and/or implementation projects in Kenya, South Sudan and Senegal. His focus is mainly on genetic improvement of livestock in the tropics. Currently, Evaristo is a Principal Lecturer working in the State Department for Livestock in the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development in Kenya.
