Kirimi Elijah Thuranira

I am an accomplished Economist, Public policy Analyst, Leadership & Governance expert, and Professional Certified Investment and Financial Analyst. My key areas of expertise include but are not limited to: A solid background in Economics and Statistics; having done a bachelor’s degree in economics & Statistics, a master’s in leadership & Governance, a second Masters in economics, and a PHD candidate in Economics, having completed coursework in econometrics, Micro and Macro Economics, quantitive Analysis, monetary and public sector economics. In my master’s degree in leadership and Governance, I majored in, public policy analysis, leadership ethics & Governance, Public administration, and public finance framework. I have three years of university teaching experience as well as public sector capacity building experience, having worked as a Part-time Economic lecturer in Chuka and Embu University where I taught public policy, public sector Economics & Public Finance. In addition, I have worked in KIPPRA as a Public policy Analyst. Besides, I have five years’ experience in public policy management on governance, leadership, Budgeting, Monitoring, evaluation, and implementation in Meru County Government, where I managed complex departmental project and coordinated government delivery functions. Further, I have five years of experience in research, econometric modelling, data analysis, and grant proposal writing, having worked at Tobit research firm.
