Lucy has over six years of diverse experience in agriculture, project Management, research, innovation, and social entrepreneurship. She holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in Agriculture from Kenyatta University in Kenya.

Lucy's career journey began as an intern at Simlaw Seeds Co. Limited, later on as an Agronomist at Plain Gardens, an agribusiness company, where she excelled in training farm staff and farmers on good agriculture practices and environmental conservation. She played a pivotal role in coordinating various farm activities, including planting, pest and disease control, irrigation, and harvesting.

Building on her expertise, Lucy ventured into project Management as a Project Manager at EHC Limited, a Software as a Service (SaaS) company focused on digitizing records. She skillfully managed client and customer relationships, successfully launching the software system and providing training to medical staff and the public. Her dedication to resolving system issues and ensuring a seamless user experience led to a high receptivity rate of 96%, resulting in widespread adoption of the software.

Recognizing her passion for writing and education, Lucy joined Smart Farmer Kenya, a media company, as a Writer. In this role, she leveraged her storytelling abilities to educate and empower smallholder agriculture entrepreneurs through compelling narratives about impactful agricultural innovations and business interventions.

Lucy's commitment to making a positive social impact led her to serve as an Innovation Hub Director at the GBIH Foundation. In this capacity, she oversaw and facilitated the incubation and acceleration of social enterprises within the foundation's innovation program. Through mentorship and stakeholder Management, Lucy played a crucial role in resolving social-economic challenges on an international scale.

Lucy also contributed to the agricultural sector as an Internal Inspector under the Muranga County avocado export farmer empowerment program in Kenya. Her responsibilities included training farmers on good agricultural practices and facilitating the export certification process, resulting in a remarkable income of over KES 0.5 billion in 2021.

With a strong interest in emerging technologies applicable in agriculture, Lucy has developed a deep understanding of their potential to drive innovation and enhance food security. Her expertise in project implementation, training, and communication has been honed through her various roles, and she has demonstrated a keen ability to harmonize people dynamics and harness relationships.

Passionate about food security, environmental conservation, social entrepreneurship, and youth empowerment, Lucy continues to seek opportunities to create positive change within these realms. Her multifaceted background, coupled with her drive and dedication, positions her as a valuable asset in the fields of agriculture, business strategy, social entrepreneurship, innovation, and impact.
